La Bruyère
A spacious detached three story stone farm-house at 450 m altitude with a view over two valleys, the villages of Arrigas and Aumessas and the National Parc des Cévennes (1200 to 1500 m).Accommodation for 8 people, ideal for either a large family or two sets of relatives or friends who want to rent together because there are two kitchens, two bathrooms and four bedrooms plus a studio.
The house is situated on 22 hectares of chestnut woods and meadows .It provides a great deal of privacy and many opportunities for children to build tree houses if they so desire, play in the woods and in season look for mushrooms.
Access to a tennis court in Arrigas is provided.
The owners are a Franco-American couple living next door.
This place is ideal for those who love peace and quiet. Few cars drive by. Direct access to the Parc des Cévennes can be reached from the farmhouse (about 3 hours walk) and many long and short walks of great variety. For bird watchers there are eagles.
Le Vigan has bookstores, cafes, a cinema, an ethnographic museum on the Cévennes culture, super markets and other stores, newspaper stores with Dutch papers, a music festival each summer.It also has nice stone walks and a 12th century bridge still in use.

Second floor:
Tiled 55 m² master bedroom,with own bathroom, a double and a single bed. Also a 20 m² bedroom with 2 singles and another (12 m²) with double bed.

Swimming: Exclusive use of owners swimming pool (9,6 m x 6 m) is available on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from 9 A.M. to 12 P.M. and on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 2 to 5 P.M. At other times, the owners and their friends use the pool. The pool is completely isolated and surrounded with locked gates and a view over the Cévennes mountans (1250 m). By the pool is a small sandbox and a wading for small children. Renters are asked to assume responsibility for theit own safety when using the pool. A larger pool is available in Le Vigan and there are wading pools in nearby rivers. A car is essential. A baker does come each day around 9.30 A.M. Each commune during the summer has its own three day fête on the weekends with dinners, entertainment and balls. Many Dutch people come to le Vigan during summer. The area is filled with three star tourist attractions including within one hour to an hour and a half: Cirque de Navacelles (***), Gorges de l'Herault (*), Grottes des Demoiselles (***), Montpellier and its beaches, Mont Aigoual (***), Le Parc de Cévennes (***), Nîmes (***) with its Roman Coliseum and Maison Carré, Montpellier le Vieux (***), La cité templière de la Couvertoirade (*), Saint Guilhelm le Désert and L'Abaye de Sylvanès (**).
